Who we are

Grass Roots is a garden care and maintenance business based in Brighton & Hove. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you fill in our quote request form, we ask for:

• Your name
• Your postcode
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• The type of service you're interested in and roughly how big your garden is
• Any details you add in the message box

We don't collect payment details, and we don't use cookies or analytics/tracking scripts on this site — so we don't gather any information about you just from browsing it.

Why we collect it

We only use this information to get back to you with a quote and to arrange any work you go ahead with. This is a legitimate interest of ours as a small business responding to enquiries — we don't use your details for anything beyond that, and we don't send marketing emails unless you separately ask us to.

How we store it

Quote requests are stored in a private Google Sheet accessible only to the Grass Roots team, and a notification is sent to our business email address. We don't share your information with any other third party, and we never sell your data.

We keep enquiry details for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and, if you become a customer, for our own record-keeping — after that, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. To do any of these, just email help@grassrootsbnh.com and we'll sort it out promptly.

If you're ever unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Changes to this policy

If anything here changes, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
